Solar Panels
Matching solar panels to your PowerBox is key to maximising the performance of your off-grid power system.
Depending on how you intend to locate and install your solar panels, and whether the installation is temporary or permanent will determine which type of solar panel is best for suited.
Light weight and semi-flexible, these solar panels suite permanent installations when affixed to a solid surface on solar panel mount, or temporary use when fitted to a mounting frame.
Ideal for permanent or temporary installations, the aluminium frame of the solar panel can be affixed to mounting frames, roofs or other flat surfaces
Quick and easy to deploy with their own integral stand, the panels are ideal for temporary deployment whether for industrial use or leisure.
Semi-Flexible Solar Panels
Rigid Frame Solar Panels
Suitcase Solar Panels
Solar A-Quick
Solid frame solar panels set up in seconds!
Retro fit to many 30mm deep solar panel
Portrait and landscape orientation options
Folds completely flat inside the solar panel frame
Solar panels with A-Quick stands fitted to them take seconds to set up and collapse. The stand stores inside the frame of the solar panel, minimising the space needed to store and transport you panels.
Solar panels with A-Quick stands are ideal to industrial or leisure user and can be easily secured to the ground or hard standing.
We have 4 sizes of solar panel with A-Quick stands fitted available to order from stock. Or you can request an A-Quick stand for any size solar panel with a 30mm deep frame.

How do I know if my solar panels are working correctly and providing enough power to charge the batteries? The solar charge controller shows on the display if there is PV charge being received from the solar panels. MPS systems If the top LED light is on, or flashing on/off, the solar charge controller is receiving power from the solar panels. The solar charge controller needs to be receiving a voltage which is at or above the battery voltage. e.g. a 12v battery needs a minimum of 12v PV feed from the solar panels. You can scroll through the current system state on the solar charge controller by pressing the central up and down buttons below the display. LPS systems The LPS system solar charge controller does not have status LEDs. To view the current state of the solar charge, press select on the solar charge controller until the solar charge status is displayed.
-
How can I check the state of the batteries? The solar charge controller in both MPS and LPS systems shows the status of the batteries on the display. Scroll through the status screens until the battery icon is displayed The screen displays - Current battery voltage - Battery charge status - Battery voltage type

Check the Solar Charge Controller is configured correctly for your batteriesThe solar charge controller controls the DC power output, solar feed and battery charge. Ensuring that the solar charge controller is configured correctly for the type of battery installed is vital to ensure the health of the battery and the systems ability to recover power when batteries are over drained. All systems we supply are configured by default for LiFeP04 batteries. But our systems can be used with sealed lead acid and gel batteries (although we do not recommend this). To check or change the battery type set on the solar charge controller within MPS systems. - Press the up or down button on the solar charge controller until you can see the battery voltage screen - Hold down the right hand button to enter the sub menu. The battery type will start flashing in the bottom right corner. - Press the up or down button to scroll through the different battery types LI - LiFeP04 SLD - Sealed Lead Acid GEL - Gel FLD - Flooded USE - User Defined Parameters - To confirm the battery type selection press the right hand button. - When selecting LI, the battery voltage can also be change if required between 12v and 24v. In most cases the solar charge controller will have automatically identified the battery voltage.
-
Is the power output always on?The default setting on both MPS and LPS systems is that the power output can be switched on and off manually. MPS systems To turn the power output on/off, press the right hand button below the solar charge controller display. Above the display the 3rd LED down will light up when the power output is on and go off when the power output is off. LPS systems To turn the power output on/off, press the Enter button to the right of the solar charge controller display. When the power output is on, the arrow between the battery and the lightbulb will be shown on the solar charge controller display. Both MPS and LPS power output settings can be changed to automate when the power output is on/off. Please refer to the solar charge controller manual suppled with your solar power systems to check how to make changes to the power output settings.
